At my core I am a photographer/artist. Been doing it on and off for the last 20 years and I'm just finally getting a true sense of my own vision. I am a quaker, partly because it is the least organized of the organized religions. I tend to distrust both christianity and the scientific method for the same reasons- neither is willing to admit that both start off with a positive supposition but they end up with faulty conclusions. So rather than admit that their processes are screwed up, they decide that the original idea is caca. Scientists and Clergy have way too much invested in their costumes.

I am 51, but I have more life in me now than I did when I was 20. I guess when I'm 70 I'll be back in diapers and being breast fed- not a bad idea 

I like the light at 5 in the morning.

I like seeing an image appear on the paper in the developing tray.

I like touching base with old friends.

I like listening to my wife as she drifts off to sleep.

I like my cameras

I love photoshop CS2 

I like what my eyes allow me to see

I like the music that goes through my head when I can see the perfect shot through the viewfinder.

Hmmm, this could be a very long list, but I will limit to the major topics that are bothering me at the moment.

First of all, I hate it when people suggest to me "you know what would make a good picture"? People, if you think it's good, then you take the bloody thing!

I hate photoshop "tricks" 

I hate that West Wing has been cancelled.

I hate it, after it's too late. that there's not enough toilet paper left on the roll to do the job properly!
