I'm a mom of two girls (one is 21 and one is 12), I have two grandkids (eeek) and live in the middle of no where (BFE).  I'm not too far from Seattle - but don't get an opportunity to go often.

I have a dry, but wicked, sense of humor, am very sarcastic and my moods are up and down - there are good days and not so good days.  Work plays a large part of my life and I love what I do.

I am interested in meeting people who make me laugh, can be serious too and are diggin' me for who I am.  People who are honest, down to earth and who'll understand I'm a quirky thing.  :-/

What is a hero? 

Is it the man who pulls a crying baby from a fiery automobile, without taking his own safety into consideration?  Is it the men and women who sacrafice daily for my ability to rant and rage freely?  Is it the single father who loves his children more than himself?  Is it the person who freely gives their love without asking for anything in return?

In their own individual ways they are all heroes to me.

I'm a woman - so I like a lot of things and tend to change my mind often... here are a few of my basic likes!

I love the way the sun rises and sets.  I like the natural beauty of things, be it a tree, rock or person.  I like when I can hear the giggle of my grandbaby and I really love when I hold her and her eyes light up.  I like quiet times and peaceful nights.  But I'm just as happy at a rip roaring concert.  I like to slow dance with the right person and I like to be held when I've had a bad day (no, that's more of a need).  I like sitting by the beach and feeling the wind blow on my face.  I like walks in the rain with the right person (and kisses in the rain).

I like, no LOVE, music.  My tastes run from Nina Simone to Type O Negative.  Depending on my mood depends on what you're gonna hear streaming from my computer or stereo. 

I like foggy mornings and sunny days.  I like driving through the rain and trapping my kids in the car and turning off the stereo.  I like taking drives to no where and exploring what's around me. 

I like chocolate, though it makes me hyper and spazzy. 

But most of all, I like my life and who can ask for anything more than that, really?  :-)

Considering I'm opinionated and outspoken here are a few of my *dislikes*...

Someone who lies to me, someone who cheats on me and *gasp* liver and onions.  I don't like icy roads or traffic.  I really can't stand someone who scrapes their teeth on a fork (I have violent tendencies here)  and someone who doesn't accept me for who I am.  I don't like when people tell me one thing and then do another.  I don't like when I feel stressed from work and I really don't like when I feel like being me isn't good enough.  I don't like crying -   lord knows I've done enough of that in my life and I would think, by now, the tear ducts would have dried up.   I don't like not being able to see some of my best friends daily and really miss being able to talk to them as much as I used to. 

I'm sure I could go on forever, but I won't.  If you want to know more about my dislikes ask me.  I'm not too terribly shy (well, I can be).
